SHOKEI - Painkiller LP

Auch Shokei gehen für Narshardaa in die zweite Runde und präsentieren uns einen Longplayer mit einigen neuen und einigen neueingespielten oder auch geremixten Hits. Musikalisch hat sich nichts geändert. Vertrackter und charmanter HC des Würzburger Tatort-Ermittler-Trios. (+)

Auf der A-Seite fünf neue Zünder, auf der B-Seite den Knaller Hot Topic neu und bedeutend schneller eingespielt, dazu noch vier Cover-Versionen dieses Liedes, und zwar von: Eve Massacre, G-TUK, Petethepiratesquid und Bullensack. Kooperation mit Altin Village Records! Auf Tour gehts am 11. bis 19. April mal wieder mit den Jungs von Kids Explode!

Shokei also will put out a second record for Narshardaa. This time a long player with some new songs, newly recorded old tunes and even some remixes. Still groovy hardcore. Listen to it and have fun! In co-operation with Altin Village Records. (-)

Sinaloa from Boston with their next split 7inch project for Narshardaa. Finally. This time with their neighbor kids Daniel Striped Tiger. Nothing has changed. Still very political emo. Reminds us of the Ebullition style. Great. Nice People. Nice Music. Together on tour over Europe this march. Co-operation with Clean Plate Records. (-)

KIDCRASH / L'ANTIETAM - Split 7inch
(NAR 020)

Split Single der Veteranen von Kidcrash aus Olympia und Santa Fe und L'Antietam aus New Hampshire. Beide Bands frünen dem Mitt 90er Emo. Kidcrash eher schräg und krachig à la OFF MINOR und haben auch schon auf dem hervoragendem deutschen Label Denovali etliche Verüffentlichungen rausgebracht. (+)

L'antietam mit einem Schuss mehr Melancholie und Verspieltheit. Feine Sache. Kidcrash kommen im Frühjahr auch erstmals auf Europa-Tour.

Split 7" between Kidcrash from Olympia and Santa Fe and L'Antietam from New Hampshire. Both bands are celebrating the typical mid 90s emo. Kidcrash are wilder and more weird. L'Antietam much more melancholic. Nice one. Will be out right in time for Kidcrashs first European tour in April. (-)

AKEPHAL - S/t CD
(NAR 013)

Finally after all the years here comes the reissue of the Akephal 12inch which originally came out back in 1997. This CD was supposed to have the recordings for their second and unreleased 12inch too, but these stupid drunk punks lost the master while they drunk a billion of beers and were partying hard with the Narshardaa guys... (+)

But guess what, they re-recorded five unreleased songs for you and we also put it on the CD. Everything is newly mastered and includes the recordings of the 12inch, a compilation song, the 5 unreleased songs and some bonus stuff. Not the single, because it fuckin' sucked, but who cares? The new material is still dark and brutal hc inspired by bands like URANUS, ACME or HIS HERO IS GONE with who they were supposed to tour before they split up some time before this could happen. nothing else we have to say, listen to this cd as it speaks for itself.

THE FALCON FIVE - We Are Falcon And You Don't 12inch

WOAH!!! Die Jungs aus Würzburg hauen hier sechs hammergeile groovige post punk Songs raus. Schön schräg und melodisch. Ordentlich Ecken und Kanten, aber auch mit vielen Ohrwürmern... (+)

Erinnert ein wenig an LES SAVY FAV, aber das interessiert eh keine Sau. Einfach mal anhören das Ding. Genau das richtige für'n Sommer. Leckomio.

WOAH! The boys from Würzburg with six fuckin' amazing groovy post punk songs. Little weird and really melodic. Reminds me a little bit of LES SAVY FAV, but who the fuck cares? Give it a try. Perfect record for the upcoming summer.

THE FALCON FIVE formed as kind of a power trio without a name back in 2005. After showing his amazing singing skills at a rehearsal, Andreas joined a few months later to roughhouse the microphone. Henceforth, the band was called THE FALCON FIVE - well, you do the math. First show was in November 2005 at Nuremburg's Endzeit Festival. All dressed up in blue denim, the Würzburgers stoked quite a few people and set off a huge knife fight afterwards. Fortunately, no one got hurt all that badly.

Featuring members of überdoomers OMEGA MASSIF and Bad Bocklet's very own SHOKEI, THE FALCON FIVE neither deliver a downtuned drone mayhem nor spastic "emo" songs which change from 3/4 to 5/8 meter every twenty seconds. They are rather into a straightforward rhythm with a dancy twist. Imagine WIPERS, ABBA and infamous krautsters ASH RA TEMPEL munching away on cotton candy at the local fairground and you got the idea. Well, at least the very basic idea. With lyrics tackling subjects like evil robots, huge magnets and white rabbits, they are far away from the preaching-to-the-converted which got all too usual in modern hardcore - actually, they are far away from modern hardcore per se.

Dishing out six groovy tunes, their debut EP will be released in June / July 2007. (-)

END OF A YEAR / KIDS EXPLODE - Split 7inch (NAR 018)

Split 7" der beiden Bands die Ende Mai zusammen auf Europatour gehen. Kids Explode aus Freiburg spielen furiosen energetischen Post HC und bieten auf der Split zwei neue kurze Smasher. End Of A Year aus Albany klingen wie Rites Of Spring im modernen Soundgewand, sind aber alles andere als ein rip off... (+)

Emo. Emo. Emo. Narshardaa muss ja mal wieder eure Erwartungen erfüllen und was in die Richtung machen, oder was? Nächste Platte dann wieder Oi.

Split 7" for both bands European tour starting in late may. Kids Explode from Freiburg play furious and energetic post hc. the single features two new short smash hits. End Of A Year from Albany sound like a modern version of Rites Of Spring, but are far away from being a rip off. Emo. Emo. Emo. Well, with this release Narshardaa will do what you expect from them. Another emo record,or what? next record will be some Oi again. (-)

KIDS EXPLODE / SHOKEI - Split LP (NAR 017)

This split LP is the final result of the friendship between these two young german bands. It contains about 27 minutes of music. KIDS EXPLODE come from Freiburg and are myspace.com friends of everybody I know, but still they don't suck, ha ha... (+)

They remind me a little bit of bands like Fuel, Challenger and early Transistor Transistor stuff. Very energetic, melodic and full of fun and joy. SHOKEI are from Würzburg. Three people and for sure they are inspired by the likes of Shellac, Unwound and Off Minor. It really surprised me when I listened to them the first time to hear Steve Albini isn't in the band, but no I should stop talking shit. They do not sound like any rip off or what ever at all, just groovy, tight and amazing. We are super excited to put this record out. It means so much to us. It's based on both: friendship and content.

Ein wildes Traktorrennen der Gefühle, ein veritables Dreamteam das sich hier formiert hat: SHOKEI aus Würzburg und KIDS EXPLODE aus Freiburg haben sich nicht nur eine Bandfreundschaft reguliert, sondern gleich die Split aus dem Flaschenboden gestanzt. Hinter Vollfarbartwork auf aufwendigem Druck (bedruckte Innenhülle inkl.!) verbirgt sich eine explosive Post-Hardcore meets Punkrock meets Noiserock-MŽlange, frisch wie direkt vom Fass. SHOKEI haben wohl Unwound, Minutemen und Native Nod mit der Muttermilch aufgesogen, Komplexität trifft Genialität und Gespür für catchy Arrangements; Kids Explode 'nen Tick punkrockiger mit doppelten bis dreifachen Gesang/Geschrei und ner Note Level Plane, aber auch catchigerem Post-Punk im Abgang, Mitklatschen inklusive. Zusammen auf Tour im August! (-)
