WOAH! The boys from Würzburg with six fuckin' amazing groovy post punk songs. Little weird and really melodic. Reminds me a little bit of LES SAVY FAV, but who the fuck cares? Give it a try. Perfect record for the upcoming summer.

THE FALCON FIVE formed as kind of a power trio without a name back in 2005. After showing his amazing singing skills at a rehearsal, Andreas joined a few months later to roughhouse the microphone. Henceforth, the band was called THE FALCON FIVE - well, you do the math. First show was in November 2005 at Nuremburg's Endzeit Festival. All dressed up in blue denim, the Würzburgers stoked quite a few people and set off a huge knife fight afterwards. Fortunately, no one got hurt all that badly.

Featuring members of überdoomers OMEGA MASSIF and Bad Bocklet's very own SHOKEI, THE FALCON FIVE neither deliver a downtuned drone mayhem nor spastic "emo" songs which change from 3/4 to 5/8 meter every twenty seconds. They are rather into a straightforward rhythm with a dancy twist. Imagine WIPERS, ABBA and infamous krautsters ASH RA TEMPEL munching away on cotton candy at the local fairground and you got the idea. Well, at least the very basic idea. With lyrics tackling subjects like evil robots, huge magnets and white rabbits, they are far away from the preaching-to-the-converted which got all too usual in modern hardcore - actually, they are far away from modern hardcore per se.

Dishing out six groovy tunes, their debut EP will be released in June / July 2007. (-)

Emo. Emo. Emo. Narshardaa muss ja mal wieder eure Erwartungen erfüllen und was in die Richtung machen, oder was? Nächste Platte dann wieder Oi.

Split 7" for both bands European tour starting in late may. Kids Explode from Freiburg play furious and energetic post hc. the single features two new short smash hits. End Of A Year from Albany sound like a modern version of Rites Of Spring, but are far away from being a rip off. Emo. Emo. Emo. Well, with this release Narshardaa will do what you expect from them. Another emo record,or what? next record will be some Oi again. (-)

But guess what, they re-recorded five unreleased songs for you and we also put it on the CD. Everything is newly mastered and includes the recordings of the 12inch, a compilation song, the 5 unreleased songs and some bonus stuff. Not the single, because it fuckin' sucked, but who cares? The new material is still dark and brutal hc inspired by bands like URANUS, ACME or HIS HERO IS GONE with who they were supposed to tour before they split up some time before this could happen. nothing else we have to say, listen to this cd as it speaks for itself.

They remind me a little bit of bands like Fuel, Challenger and early Transistor Transistor stuff. Very energetic, melodic and full of fun and joy. SHOKEI are from Würzburg. Three people and for sure they are inspired by the likes of Shellac, Unwound and Off Minor. It really surprised me when I listened to them the first time to hear Steve Albini isn't in the band, but no I should stop talking shit. They do not sound like any rip off or what ever at all, just groovy, tight and amazing. We are super excited to put this record out. It means so much to us. It's based on both: friendship and content.

Ein wildes Traktorrennen der Gefühle, ein veritables Dreamteam das sich hier formiert hat: SHOKEI aus Würzburg und KIDS EXPLODE aus Freiburg haben sich nicht nur eine Bandfreundschaft reguliert, sondern gleich die Split aus dem Flaschenboden gestanzt. Hinter Vollfarbartwork auf aufwendigem Druck (bedruckte Innenhülle inkl.!) verbirgt sich eine explosive Post-Hardcore meets Punkrock meets Noiserock-MŽlange, frisch wie direkt vom Fass. SHOKEI haben wohl Unwound, Minutemen und Native Nod mit der Muttermilch aufgesogen, Komplexität trifft Genialität und Gespür für catchy Arrangements; Kids Explode 'nen Tick punkrockiger mit doppelten bis dreifachen Gesang/Geschrei und ner Note Level Plane, aber auch catchigerem Post-Punk im Abgang, Mitklatschen inklusive.
